  • The many faces of me - by the BeeBee girl

Hi everyone!! It's me!  A lot has happened since mommy sent out the last email update. I'm now 19 months old and I've got a whole lot of personality.  Mommy calls me her "lil' drama queen." She also calls me her "Opihi girl"  I don't know what that means but she always says it when I'm clinging on to her and won't let go.

Anyway, I can feed myself now.... mostly with my hands but I'm getting good with the fork and spoon too.

I've been able to use a straw since I was 6 months but now I can hold my own cup and use a straw.
Note how I sit in my chair.  I think my chair works better that way.

I also have hair now!  Mommy likes it cuz she can put my hair in pigtails.
But I like to pull my hair ties off and make my hair stick up.

Other than making a mess in the living room, I like taking mommy's eyeglass case and using it like a
purse.  It's the right size for me!

I also like going to new places.  I've went to Kauai, Hawaii in May and was a flowergirl

I got to swim at Anini and Anahola Beach.

    anahola

Then I got to run around Honolulu International Airport

    airport

Then in August , mommy and daddy took me to Long Beach, CA for my cousin Zeb's wedding
    I took Elmo.

I slept through most of the ceremony but I got to run around on the yacht afterwards.
    I had tons of fun!!

Then I went to Wyoming on Labor Day weekend to get my Aunty Nicki home and see Grammy & Gramps. They took me to Vedauwoo.  They have big boulders that rock climbers love to climb.
I like the rocks, too.  The small rocks.

The next day we went to Snowy Range Mountains.... The mountains and trees were BIG!
Everything was so tall I kept having to look up! (This is mommy's favorite picture. She likes my squishy puffy cheeks!)

Then we ate at the Old Corral in Centennial, WY where mommy put me on a horse (a fake horse,
    of course
!) Auntie Lisa, do you think I make a good cowgirl?

Then heading back to Phoenix, I got to run around the Outlet Mall in Anthem after being cooped
up in the car all day

But I was so happy to get home to all my toys that I sat in my toy box to play with them.

The next weekend, Aunty Jessica came to visit from Alaska and I got to hang at her hotel pool.
See all the teeth that I have now?

(I love the water, can you tell?)  PS Look at all my teeth!

Mommy says I look like my Aunty Sharon in this picture when she was my age.

I spent all day in the pool until it got dark.  Then I got to play with the patio furniture while everyone chatted.

    Strike a pose!

Other than that, I still love Sesame Street. Mommy always sneaks out to work when I'm
watching it or else I cry when I see her leave
    .
I LOVE watching Finding Nemo. I can watch it over and over and over and over....
My favorite words are Hi, Hello, Mommy and COME ON!

I also like to pretend to throw a tantrum.  I fell backwards one day and bonked my head. Mommy was very concerned! Ever since then, when I don't get what I want, I like to throw myself backwards on the floor - very carefully (and check to make sure nothing is behind me first).  Somehow, mommy doesn't give me the same attention as when I bonked my head. I was in the bathroom trying to get into something I shouldn't and mommy told me "NO". I sat down and started to throw myself back but noticed I was on the hard bathroom floor, so I stood up, went to the carpet and then threw myself backwards -slowly of course - so I wouldn't hurt my head. Mommy just laughed and said, "Drama Queen."

I dont get it. I guess mommy's right.
    I'm just silly!

    So there.

  • Hair!

For a long time i thought the lil BeeBee girl's hair was gunna be sparse... like her Aunty's.... like her cousins...

I didn't realize how fast her hair had grown until she had pulled her hair out from the usual "fountain" I put her hair in.  See pic below.

    And saw this...

    pic 076

So I said, "SMILE!!!"  And she did.

    pic 078

I said, "Work it!!"  And she did!

    pic 073

And then the novelty wore off...

    pic 077

Finally, I got a look that said, "Mom, enough with the camera!"

    pic 079

Kids. Sheesh.  No fun at all these days, I tell ya.

  • So it's been a  while since I actually wrote in here.  It's hard I tell ya.  I've been trying to deal with my car accident, still dealing with some depression, fears and pressures as a result of new mommy-dom. And I'm exhausted. My lil Beebee girl takes all of my free time these days.... But that part, I don't mind. Not a single bit. Not for this lil angel....

    Picture 073

Hehe... yeh she tries. Again, baby's got attitude.... although most times she's like this:

    christmas 014

    She keeps me going.

And when I look at this smiling face, I can't help but *smile*

    Squishy poofy cheeks!

  • Close to seven months later I still hear,

"I can't believe you had a baby 6 months ago..."
"Look at you, you don't even look like you just had a baby! Makes me want to slap you upside the head!"
"I wished I looked like that after I gave birth to my [daughter][son]"
"You know, I could hate you for being so skinny right after giving birth..."

    Yeh... if they only knew...

    The Secret?

    1. Start out by having morning sickness all throughout your pregnancy.
    2. Have pregnancy complications when you go into labor.
    3. Squeeze a 7 lb 12.5 oz baby out of a 5'1" 100 lbs frame.
    4. Get a third degree episiotomy.
    5. Develop a common pregnancy woe from pushing too hard.
    6. Get prescribed pain medication that's supposed to help with #3 but intensifies #4
    7. Develop a fear of eating due to #3 & #4 because you don't want to go 1 or 2 (especially 2)
    8. Have a 2 story house with LOTS of stairs and make sure your room is on the second floor
    9. Have baby's dad work for a bitch** that only gave him one day off.
    10. Have no one around...

    Yup, EASY...
